🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A UFO was sighted in July 1965 over Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, and was observed for six hours. Civilian and military witnesses reported an object moving westward. Although it initially generated curiosity and mystery, investigators concluded it was an upper-air research balloon. Measurements were taken using theodolites and satellite tracking data. A witness observed it through binoculars for 15 minutes, describing its steady movement. Later data confirmed the object was at an altitude of 16 miles and followed a typical pattern of a weather balloon. Despite the scientific explanation, the case remains intriguing for researchers of unidentified aerial phenomena.
