🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A worker in Minnesota observed a white object with blue flashes in July 1965. The witness, on a short break, saw a cream-colored object with two orange spots moving slowly. Initially mistaken for an F-104 jet, its unusual speed raised questions. Minutes later, the object reappeared from the east, changing color progressively until it shone with a bright blue and silver hue, resembling burning magnesium. The witness estimated its altitude at around 8,000 feet. The sighting lasted about two minutes and sparked curiosity among other workers.
The official Blue Book report concluded the sighting could be attributed to an aircraft with landing lights on and off. The flight path, duration, and characteristics matched those of an airplane. Despite this, the detailed account and descriptions of color changes add an intriguing touch to this classic UFO case.
