Reflected UFO in windshield from 1965

Summary

In July 1965, a civilian in Burbank, California, observed two bright objects in the sky that appeared to leave a vapor trail. The witness, who took a photograph, described the objects as brighter than stars and sharply outlined. According to the report, the objects appeared suddenly and disappeared just as quickly. The person saw them moving from left to right and photographed them from inside a car.

The photographic analysis conducted by the U.S. Air Force concluded that the objects were a double image caused by reflections on the windshield. Analysts suggested the reflection could have been produced by the tip of a wiper blade or by double reflection from the front and back of the windshield glass. Although the witness estimated the objects were at a certain distance, the optical explanation rules out the possibility of unidentified flying objects.
