Summary

In July 1965, a radar at Truax Field in Wisconsin detected an unidentified object traveling at over 1,000 knots at an altitude of 100,000 feet. The object appeared on the radar screen without being identified as a known aircraft and maintained a southwest course for ten minutes before disappearing. Weather conditions were ideal for observation, with visibility over 15 miles and a clear sky. Despite the high speed and altitude, military analysts concluded it was likely a high-performance aircraft, possibly experimental, though other possibilities were not ruled out.

The official military response was cautious. They stated there was no physical evidence or photographs to confirm the object's nature. However, after an evaluation by elimination, they concluded the radar was functioning properly and there was no reason to consider the object as false. Although the aircraft was not identified, the data suggests it was a real object, leaving open the possibility of an unannounced prototype or an unusual atmospheric phenomenon. This case, like many others, remains an unsolved mystery.
