🇪🇸 Ejército del Aire
In September 1968, the Spanish Air Force recorded several sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena across different locations in Spain. The events mainly occurred between the 5th and 6th of September and were observed by pilots, air traffic controllers, and meteorological personnel. One of the most notable cases was the sighting of a tetrahedral object with three bright balls, observed by a pilot of an F-104 at high altitude. Other sightings included elongated and bright objects over Cuenca and Pamplona, as well as the recovery of weather balloons in Logroño. Although some descriptions were vague, other reports coincided in details such as shape and the NE-SW trajectory. The Air Force concluded that many of these phenomena could be explained as weather balloons, although some details remained unresolved.
