Sighting of luminous objects in La Rabassada in 1968

Summary

In December 1968, a couple in the town of La Rabassada, near Barcelona, observed several luminous objects with similar characteristics on two separate occasions. On the 6th and 9th of December, from their home, they saw round, flattened objects with white lights and intermittent flashes of red, green, and orange. These objects appeared in the sky, initially stationary and then moving slowly toward San Cugat del Vallés. Although details such as distance, altitude, or size were not precise, the descriptions were consistent enough to rule out conventional aircraft.

The official report from the Spanish Air Force concluded that it might have been the observation of a bright celestial object near its setting, with optical effects distorting the real image. No further investigation was recorded, and the file was declassified in 1993. Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, the repetition of the sightings in the same location and time adds a touch of mystery to this case, typical of UFO reports from that era.
