In December 1968, a chemist driving along a road near El Garrobo (Seville) observed a bright, changing light at a distance of about one kilometer. The object, which moved following the terrain's undulations, made no noise and traveled at a speed slightly faster than his car. Two hours later, several witnesses confirmed seeing the same phenomenon, though at a greater distance and in a different direction.
The official documentation, reviewed in 1993, highlights the impossibility of identifying the phenomenon with conventional objects. A "ball lightning" explanation was ruled out due to the duration and repetition of the sighting. Despite the detailed description, no further investigations were carried out, and no clear explanations were found. Eventually, the file was declassified, with no determination of its origin.
