🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1965, a UFO report came from Mt Lebanon, Pennsylvania. A witness described an object shaped like a very large star, first appearing as a steady light and later as a flashing one. The first sighting lasted a few minutes, and the second only one minute. The report notes that the first object might have been a meteorite due to the time of year, but the second had no explanation. The observer, a 59-year-old salesman and amateur astronomer, provided a detailed account. Despite investigations, no clear explanation was found for the second sighting.
The official report suggests that the first object could have been a meteorite, but the second remains unexplained. Checks were made with other agencies, but all were negative. Although no detailed weather information was obtained, the officer who prepared the report considered the sighting doubtful. However, the witness's testimony, along with the precise description of the object and its behavior, remains intriguing and unresolved.
