🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1965, three witnesses in New Milford, Connecticut, observed a mysterious object slowly rising from the southern horizon. They described the object as round, brightly lit, and at least twice as long as a commercial aircraft. Its color shifted between yellow and red, and it remained stationary while becoming brighter. A jet aircraft passed directly underneath, leaving a contrail that followed its path. Despite the detailed description, the information was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation, and the case was marked as "insufficient data," remaining open in case further information arrived in the future.
The Air Force sent a form for the witnesses to complete, but no response was received after 60 days. The case was archived as "insufficient data," and kept open in case more information came later. Although the object was not identified, the description suggests a striking and unusual visual experience that did not easily match conventional objects.
