In July 1965, three witnesses in New Milford, Connecticut, observed a mysterious object slowly rising from the southern horizon. They described the object as round, brightly lit, and at least twice as long as a commercial aircraft. Its color shifted between yellow and red, and it remained stationary while becoming brighter. A jet aircraft passed directly underneath, leaving a contrail that followed its path.
