🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round object with a blue body and red tail was observed in Hereford, Texas, on August 2, 1965. The witness, a woman from New Mexico, saw it from a car at a 45-degree elevation, describing it as disappearing instantly at the horizon. Although she stated the object was as big as a grapefruit, her testimony was considered unreliable due to inconsistencies and lack of confirmation. There was no sound or physical evidence, and the report concluded it might have been a meteorite.
The military report found no supporting data for the sighting, and radar was inoperative at the time. Although photos were taken, the object could not be identified with certainty. The officer who prepared the report noted the testimony lacked consistency, and no aerial activity was recorded in the area. The possibility of it being a meteorite was considered plausible, though not officially confirmed.
