Summary

In August 1965, several police officers in Cocoa, Florida, reported seeing luminous objects in the sky. On a clear night with high clouds, the witnesses observed for at least 15 minutes a formation of five round objects glowing in white, orange, and green. The objects were arranged in a diamond pattern, with an additional one to the west. No noise or trails were recorded, although a possible whistle was mentioned. The observers used binoculars, but found no significant differences compared to naked eye observation. Local investigators concluded the objects were likely reflections or atmospheric phenomena, such as a temperature inversion.

A few days later, during the night of August 5 to 6, the same officers reported another sighting of luminous objects, this time in yellow and orange. The formation appeared to move cohesively, and one object quickly moved away. The Air Force reinforced the hypothesis that it was a reflection of terrestrial lights caused by atmospheric conditions. There were no radar records or aircraft sightings in the area, adding mystery to the events. The investigation continued, with plans to interview the witnesses for more details.
