🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In the early morning of August 4, 1965, a witness in Casa Grande, Arizona, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon. According to the account, he saw a white light that split into two objects moving in formation. The objects made no apparent noise, but a sound similar to thunder or a distant locomotive was heard. The observer, a 56-year-old man considered reliable, described the objects as small, white and non-bright, with no trail or smoke. The sighting lasted about 7 seconds, and the objects quickly disappeared toward the northwest. An aircraft was seen shortly afterward, suggesting the observer was not hallucinating.
The official Blue Book report concluded that the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. The observer had no interest in UFOs and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, adding credibility to his testimony. Despite the detailed description, there was no physical evidence or photographs. The responsible officer, Major James C. Butler, noted that the case did not provide enough information for further analysis.
