🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1965, a witness in San Antonio, Texas, reported seeing a bright, silvery object in the sky. According to the report, the object had no discernible features and emitted a screeching sound. The witness was initially drawn by a flash of light and then heard the sound of a T-38 aircraft flying at about 1000 feet. The unidentified object was slightly above the plane. The witness ran into his house to get a camera and returned, but the T-38 was no longer visible, though the object remained in the sky. He photographed it, but the image only showed a bright spot and not the object itself.
The investigation concluded that the observation duration was insufficient for accurate evaluation. It was suggested that the sound could have been caused by a nearby fire station siren or construction equipment. Although the witness had basic knowledge of military aircraft, the officer in charge considered his information inaccurate. The photograph did not provide clear evidence of the object, and it was thought to possibly be a reflection from a pool or window. The official report could not identify the phenomenon, and the testimony was considered unreliable due to inconsistencies and errors in the description.
