Triangular UFO seen in Prairie Village in 1965

Summary

In August 1965, a witness in Prairie Village, Kansas, observed a triangular object with an intense reddish glow. The object appeared from the southeast, slowly turned northward, and disappeared at an estimated altitude of 3,000 feet. It was described as the size of a ping pong ball, with a bright red or orange light so intense it was hard to look directly at it. Below the glow, a silver triangular shape was visible. The observation lasted between 3 and 5 minutes, and the object was moving at around 60 mph. Although the possibility of an experimental aircraft or an infrared-equipped plane was considered, no physical evidence or photographs were found to confirm the object's identity.
