🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 22-year-old man observed a dark object moving across the surface of the moon from a drive-in in Waterford, Connecticut. On August 11, 1965, while watching a movie, he noticed a black speck orbiting the moon three times every two minutes. The observer, who wasn't seeking attention, described how the object briefly stopped before continuing its path. Although no photos or physical evidence were taken, he assured it wasn't an invention and that the clear sky made the observation possible.
The report, addressed to the Air Force, emphasized the witness's seriousness, who denied being a nut seeking fame. The object didn't appear to be a natural phenomenon or a known satellite, and the observer insisted it was the first time he had seen anything like it. Despite lacking a clear explanation, the testimony was shared to report an unusual observation without seeking public recognition.
