🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1965, a UFO incident was reported at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Witnesses observed objects that varied in shape from round to oval, with an estimated size of a pea. The objects changed color between white, red, blue, and green, and moved silently without leaving a trail. Three witnesses confirmed the sighting, with one seeing a single object and others observing between three and five. The objects disappeared suddenly to the south.
The observation lasted between 4 and 5 hours, and witnesses reported the objects were between 30° and 60° above the horizon. In addition to visual observation, the objects were detected by radar. The weather was clear with visibility up to 15 miles. Despite multiple observations, no clear explanation was found for the phenomenon, and officials attributed it to atmospheric inversion effects.
