🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1963, a 17-year-old student in Amityville, New York, reported a bright object in the sky moving in an unusual way. The sighting occurred at 03:25 and the witness, an amateur astronomer, described an oval-shaped object the size of a dime, orange in color, moving along its longest axis. The object appeared at a high altitude, traveled northeast, and disappeared into the clouds. No sounds or physical evidence were recorded, but the witness was sober and sincere, increasing the credibility of the report.
The U.S. Air Force analyzed the case and concluded there was no conclusive evidence of an unknown spacecraft. However, given the circumstances and the detailed description from the observer, the report did not completely rule out the possibility of an unexplained phenomenon. The case was shared with several intelligence and foreign technology units, indicating that the mystery of UFOs remained an official interest in the 1960s.
