🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1965 report describes an object with blinking white lights observed from a house in Wooddale, Illinois. The witness noted the lights were stationary in the air, at a height similar to two or three telephone poles. The engine's sound didn't resemble a jet or helicopter. The object moved from the southwest to the northeast and remained visible for seven minutes. Although a Gulfstream aircraft was considered, no clear explanation was found.
The observer's description was detailed, including the exact location and duration of the sighting. No photos were taken and no physical evidence was found. The report was reviewed by the 928th Troop Carrier Group, but no definitive conclusion was reached. This case is an example of how UFO sightings were documented at the time, with thoroughness but without solving mysteries.
