🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1965, an observer in Superior, Wisconsin, reported an unidentified object that remained in the sky for one hour. The report, part of Project 10073, describes the object as an unknown shape with a size similar to a penny at arm's length. The observer noted that the object emitted a green and red ring, which caused some confusion. Despite using binoculars, no photos or physical evidence were obtained. The Air Force requested more information, but the report concluded there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation.
The report also includes weather details: the sky was clear and very dark, with winds varying between 10 and 33 knots at different altitudes. Although the possibility of the object being a satellite or a star was considered, no conclusive identification was made. The responsible officer suggested the phenomenon could be explained by local dust conditions or light refraction, though the possibility of an unidentified object was not ruled out.
