🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1965, an army officer in Nebraska recorded several sightings of unidentified flying objects. A staff sergeant and neighbors observed an oval object with white and green lights, not a weather balloon. A group of young amateur astronomers saw three close objects with colored lights. A target alignment team initially identified an object as Jupiter due to its moons. The sightings were detailed and conducted with telescopes and theodolites.
Weather conditions were clear in all cases, and the report was compiled by an officer with 15 years of experience. Maps with locations and movement directions were attached. The report requested whether these data could be made public. The responsible officer was a colonel with intelligence experience.
