🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1965, a U.S. Navy officer reported the sighting of an unidentified object in the Pacific. The incident occurred near the base of the USS George K. MacKenzie and was carefully documented. The observer, using binoculars, described a bright, spherical object with no sound, which appeared suddenly in the sky. The observation lasted about two minutes, and the object was seen briefly on the horizon before disappearing. Although the possibility of it being the Gemini V capsule was considered, no confirmation was made.
The report includes details such as the exact time, location, and the officer's testimony, who described the sighting as clear and unambiguous. The weather was partly cloudy with excellent visibility, supporting the credibility of the report. Despite the detailed description, no physical evidence or photographs were found. The report was classified as "UNCLAS" (unclassified) and archived under the control number C2-5 7dd/l /TI//3. This case is another example of the many UFO sightings recorded by the Navy in the 1960s, without a conclusive explanation.
