Summary

A bright white object with an orange trail was sighted in Menlo Park, California, in September 1965. A witness described it as a cylindrical object moving in a straight line toward the northeast. The object was observed for only a few seconds and did not display any unusual maneuvers or acceleration. It disappeared by fading away without leaving any physical evidence. Despite the brief observation, the witness reported clear weather conditions with 15-mile visibility.
