🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September and October 1965, a couple in Rolla, Missouri, observed two unidentified objects in the sky. The first appeared as a bright star moving northeast, followed by a narrow red object that approached and then moved northwest. This red object reappeared several times before vanishing. Two weeks later, the same couple saw a similar white object moving in the same direction. Authorities reviewed satellites and space debris but found no exact matches.
The official response suggested it could be a satellite or another space object, though no confirmation was possible. The report noted that the objects traveled in a straight line at high altitude, ruling out conventional aircraft. Despite investigations, the mystery remained, with the possibility of a natural phenomenon or an unidentified satellite being considered.
