🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1965, a witness in Monroe, New York, reported an object in the sky that caught their attention due to its movement among the stars. The object, white and possibly tinged blue, was seen for approximately one minute, traveling from northeast to southwest. It left no trail, no sound, and no exhaust, making it difficult to identify. The Air Force concluded that it was consistent with satellite observation, although no physical evidence was found to confirm this.
The report details that the object was first seen at 40 degrees above the horizon and disappeared at 80 degrees. Despite the observer not using optical aids, the official report suggests that the object's movement and straight path support the theory of a satellite. The report also includes favorable weather data, such as 30-mile visibility and a clear sky, which reinforced the possibility of a clear celestial observation.
