🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A report from Project 10073 describes an unidentified flying object sighting in Rolla, Missouri, on October 4, 1965. The observer, Mrs. Hunt, reported a bright object moving southeast without blinking, ruling out the possibility of a star or airplane. The official report suggests it could have been a satellite, specifically Pegasus I, although this satellite was moving in the opposite direction. Additionally, a red object moving northwest was noted, possibly a high-flying aircraft. The document also raises the hypothesis that it could be a reentering capsule from one of our satellites, though no official record of such an event was found. The lack of precise data made a definitive confirmation difficult.
The official response from Project 10073 indicates that over thirty satellites or brighter objects were in orbit at the time, making it plausible the sighting was one of them. However, the report also acknowledges the possibility of an unidentified aircraft or atmospheric phenomenon. Despite investigations, no physical evidence or additional testimonies confirmed the object's nature. The case remains unresolved, like many UFO sightings.
