In October 1965, an inflatable object resembling a blimp was recovered in Maryland after sparking public curiosity. Although not initially reported as a UFO, its metallic appearance and five valves drew attention. The object, manufactured by G.T. Schjeldahl, was part of a NASA experimental project at Wallops Island. Experts confirmed it was a weather balloon made of metallized plastic, designed to measure wind patterns.
