🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1965, a lighthouse tender in Tillamook, Oregon, observed two glowing objects in the night sky. The smaller one was in front and left a fiery red trail. Both disappeared northeastward, leaving no physical trace. The sighting was officially recorded by the Air Force, though it was considered unlikely to be a newly discovered comet.
The report classifies the observation as "ground visual" and notes there were no photographs or physical evidence. Despite the lack of concrete proof, the witness's testimony and detailed description make this an intriguing case in the UFO records of the time.
