🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1965, a witness in Tangent, Oregon, observed an unusual aerial phenomenon. Initially, they noticed a very unusual red flare on the horizon, north of Lebanon. Although at first they thought it might be a common atmospheric effect of the setting sun, the flare suddenly disappeared. When the witness went outside to investigate, they saw a luminous white donut-shaped object approaching rapidly in their direction. At the same time, another bright light appeared high in the sky, and around these lights, small luminous points were seen moving in the same direction. The main object rose toward the east and then west, remaining visible for some time before vanishing. The witness, surprised and puzzled, found no natural explanation for what they saw and did not recall anyone else reporting it.
The Air Force responded with a formal letter stating that the information provided was insufficient for proper evaluation. The witness was asked to complete an additional form to provide more details. Despite the lack of a concrete response, the witness insisted on the importance of investigating the phenomenon, expressing their belief that it was not a hostile object. The case was classified as insufficient for a definitive evaluation, but the testimony clearly reflects a deeply impactful and hard-to-explain experience.
