🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1965, a witness in Waterford, Pennsylvania, reported seeing a luminous object in the sky. The object was described as a large yellow and orange ball that appeared in the west. Although the observer initially thought it was the moon, he soon realized something was off. The object remained visible for about 10 minutes, although its movement northward turned out to be an illusion caused by the movement of the vehicle in which he was riding. There were no photographs or physical evidence, but two witnesses confirmed the sighting. The lack of sunlight and the moon's low position on the horizon added mystery to the phenomenon.
