UFO identified as KC-135 aircraft near Ellsworth AFB

Summary

A civilian observer spotted a bright cylindrical object, estimated at 75 feet in diameter, emerging from clouds, making a 180-degree banking turn, and disappearing back into the clouds. The sighting lasted one minute at an altitude of 8000 feet. Although initially considered a UFO, further investigation identified the object as a KC-135 aircraft with call sign Ghost 76. The aircraft was performing a routine maneuver near an air navigation station. This identification was confirmed by reviewing records from Ellsworth's air traffic control.
