A civilian witness reported seeing two objects in the sky over Big Sur, California, in January 1966. The main object appeared as a bright light about the size of a basketball, with a bluish-white color, moving slowly parallel to the horizon. A secondary red object followed it at the same speed, without appearing connected. The observer estimated the speed to be around 60 mph, comparing it to a tail light on a small plane.
