🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1966, an observer reported an unidentified flying object (UFO) in the Atlantic. A bright white trail was observed covering 15 degrees of arc. The object appeared on the horizon at 274 degrees and disappeared over the horizon at 148 degrees. Although visibility was excellent with a northwest wind at 3 knots, the object could not be identified. The photograph of the event was analyzed by experts, who concluded that the image could be due to a water droplet on the lens, film condensation, or an internal camera reflection. The most plausible explanation appears to be a water droplet on the lens.
