🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A UFO was observed in Cambria, Wisconsin, in 1966. A witness described an elongated object blinking red and green. It had propeller-like appendages on the front. The object appeared over her car, flew from northwest to southeast, then turned south and north before disappearing. The observation lasted five minutes and no sound was heard. The witness, a housewife, saw the object with the naked eye without optical aids.
The U.S. Air Force report notes there was no recorded air traffic in the area at the reported altitude. Weather conditions were clear with 15 miles visibility. Winds at different altitudes ranged from 5 to 103 knots, but there were no storms or significant temperature inversions. Despite the detailed description, the cause of the sighting remains unknown, although a conventional aircraft was considered a possibility.
