🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Baker, Montana reported a bright disc-shaped object on March 13, 1966. The object was larger than an aircraft and approached the runway, hovering for about a minute and a half before disappearing to the southeast. The witness compared it to a welding light, much brighter than a star. The observation lasted almost five hours, and the apparent movement of the object was attributed to the movement of the witness's car. Although initially considered to be the planet Venus, the description and behavior of the object did not match a conventional explanation.
The official report classified it as an unidentified astronomical phenomenon (UFO), but no physical evidence or photographs were found to support the sighting. The witness provided detailed information, though key details about their identity and experience were missing. The Air Force requested more data, but no definitive conclusions were reached. The case remains unsolved, and the description of the object suggests it could have been an unidentified aerial phenomenon.
