🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1966, three witnesses in Kansas observed a round object resembling a large star with a blinking light on top. The object hovered and moved up and down before heading north at an elevation of about 35 degrees. Though initially thought to be a Roman candle, no physical evidence or photographs were found. The Air Force could not identify it with the available data.
The report mentions unusual weather conditions, such as a thermal inversion at 5000 feet, and weather balloon activity, but no known aircraft explained the sighting. Despite the lack of concrete answers, the case remains an unresolved mystery in the UFO database.
