🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Chicago, Illinois, reported an unidentified object in March 1966. The incident occurred at night when the witness, from their ninth-floor apartment, saw an extremely bright light that appeared to hang in the sky. The object, red and green in color, moved in a straight line from northwest to southeast and disappeared by fading away. The observer used binoculars and estimated the object to be larger than a nickel. Despite the observation lasting one hour and twenty minutes, the data provided was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation by authorities.
In another case on March 31, 1966, a bright and round object was observed moving at high altitude, higher than two planes passing at the time. Described as a satellite, the object was seen for six minutes and moved in a straight line. Although initially considered a UFO, it was eventually classified as a satellite.
