🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1966, a UFO sighting was reported at Truax Field, Wisconsin, which generated a report with significant gaps. According to the document, the observation lasted between 40 and 45 minutes, but essential details such as the name and address of the witnesses were missing. The ground visual portion of the report was classified as "insufficient" due to the lack of basic information. Likewise, the radar portion also lacked sufficient data, as no radar scope photos were available for analysis. The officer in charge, Lieutenant James R. Lindau, was described as competent and reliable, although his unit was undergoing an audit at the time.
The official report failed to identify the object, and it was concluded that there was no sufficient physical or photographic evidence to determine its nature. Despite this, the responsible officer, Major William Goodrich, expressed confidence in the credibility of the testimony. The case was filed without resolution, like many others in the Air Force database of that era.
