🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1966, a witness in Rome, New York, reported seeing six lights arranged in a V formation. These lights were brighter than Jupiter that night and disappeared over the horizon to the north. The observer, who lived a quarter mile from an airport, did not hear any sound due to being deaf. Although the account is clear, authorities concluded the lights could have been conventional aircraft. The case includes no physical evidence or photographs, but a detailed description of the event.
The testimony includes questions about estimated speed and distance, though the observer did not provide answers. The V formation and intense brightness are notable features. The report was reviewed by the Air Force, which found no indication of a non-conventional explanation. Despite this, the case remains interesting for its clarity and the observer's proximity to an airfield.
