🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1966, a witness in Swansee, Massachusetts, reported an object resembling a crescent moon but with unusual characteristics. The moon was in its first quarter phase and was low on the western horizon, but the observer insisted they had never seen the moon look like that at midnight. The object appeared bright and orange, causing confusion among witnesses. Although the exact duration of the observation was not recorded, the sighting was brief but striking.
The official report did not include physical evidence or additional data to support the observation. However, the detailed description of the object and its precise location generated some curiosity. Given that the moon at that time of year does not typically appear in such a way, the case became an unresolved mystery. Although no clear conclusion was reached, the testimony was filed as part of the records of unidentified aerial phenomena.
