UFO sighting in Talavera la Real in 1975

Summary

In January 1975, an air traffic controller in Talavera la Real recorded a series of moving echoes on the radar screen that generated great interest. From 19:15 to 19:40, he observed between 7 and 8 objects that were coding in different modes, moving between the radials 1202 and 1602. These objects showed surprising speed changes, from low speeds typical of conventional aircraft to high speeds characteristic of jet aircraft. The controller tried to identify them, but could not obtain information about their altitude, which raised doubts about their nature.

The echoes moved away towards the course 1202-1502 and disappeared, while a VIP plane landed without incident. Later, the Defense Command was contacted, confirming that there were no air exercises in the area. Investigators concluded that it could be false echoes generated by weather conditions or technical errors in the radar. Although no clear explanation was found, the file was declassified and the phenomenon was not considered supernatural.
