🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1966, a military pilot observed two flare-like objects near his aircraft in the Pacific Ocean. The objects appeared at one-minute intervals, displaying a blue-green color that faded to white before burning out. The first object extinguished at 9,000 feet and the second at 6,000 feet, following a flat trajectory with the second object exploding brightly like fireworks. The report found no conventional explanation for the phenomenon.
The pilot, Maj C. C. Ayton, described the objects as unidentified and behaving unusually. Although flares were considered, it was concluded they were not launched from the surface or the aircraft. The report was transmitted to the CIA, highlighting the significance of the sighting. The mysterious nature of the objects and their unique trajectory generated interest in the case.
