🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, a woman from Raceland, Kentucky, observed a red object in the sky. The object appeared on the morning of April 28 at 4:15 a.m. and remained visible for five minutes. The witness described it as a red light that faded in and out, leading her to think it might be Venus. She called local authorities to report the sighting, but there were no other confirmed reports. The sky was cloudy, which could explain the flickering light.
The woman, who had lived in the area for eight years, noted that she had never seen any light in that location before. She used her glasses to observe it more closely and eventually contacted the state police. Although there were no other witnesses, the report concluded the object could have been Venus, located at 105 degrees azimuth and 15 degrees elevation. The case was archived without further conclusions.
