🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, a witness in Sacramento, California, observed two bright football-shaped objects for 45 minutes. The objects appeared at about 30 degrees from the horizon, approached the witness, and then moved toward Folsom. One of them briefly stopped and emitted a bright light, like landing lights, for a few seconds. Despite the long observation time, authorities could not identify the phenomenon due to a lack of additional information. The report, part of Project Blue Book, concluded that the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation.
The witness, a 36-year-old aircraft worker, reported the incident to military authorities, but no further details were obtained. The description of the objects included their bright white color, football-like size, and unusual movement, including mid-air stops. Although a jet-like sound was noted, there was no physical evidence to help identify the objects. The case remains unsolved, like many others from the UFO investigation period.
