🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian reported observing an unidentified object in Sacramento, California, over two consecutive mornings in April 1966. The object appeared as a bright light in the eastern sky, similar to a star but without twinkling. Initially very bright, its intensity decreased as the sky brightened. The object moved in various directions before disappearing. Observers used telescopes and binoculars to view the phenomenon, suggesting it was not a common atmospheric event. The U.S. Air Force investigated the case but found no conclusive explanation.
Project Blue Book, responsible for investigating UFO sightings, requested more information from the witness, but the individual felt they had already provided all relevant details. The possibility of the object being Venus or some form of fuel testing was mentioned, but these explanations did not satisfy the witness, who insisted the object displayed erratic movements and did not behave like a known celestial body. The final report classified the sighting as "unidentified," as no satisfactory explanation was found.
