🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, two witnesses in Falmouth, Massachusetts, observed a disc-shaped object, shiny and chrome-colored, the size of a golf ball. The object was moving at high speed and remained visible for two minutes. Three T-33 aircraft were in the area, and it was known that weather balloons were launched every six hours from Nantucket. A balloon was launched exactly at the time of the sighting. Investigators concluded that the object was likely that weather balloon.
The report includes details such as the time of the sighting (23:55), the exact location, and testimonies from two students. Despite the clear description of the object, weather data, and the coincidence with a balloon launch, the nature of the sighting remains intriguing for researchers of unidentified aerial phenomena.
