🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, a farmer in Salem, Arkansas, noticed an unusual object on his land and sent it for analysis. The observer suspected it came from an aircraft, as they had no visible lights. After investigation, it was determined the material was chaff, a substance used in radar to create interference. The chaff had been dropped from an aircraft on a special mission, explaining the initial confusion. This case is an example of how seemingly inexplicable objects can have clear technical explanations.
