Summary

In April 1966, a witness in Philadelphia observed a stationary unidentified object about 500 feet above the ground. The object had three red lights and two wing-like extensions with blinking lights at the tips. Its oval shape was noted by the observer, who saw it from a moving car. Despite the apparent stillness, investigators concluded it could be an aircraft whose motion was misperceived due to the car's movement or the direction of flight.

The official Project 10073 report classified the event as a conventional aerial sighting, although the original testimony included unusual details. The witness described a one-minute observation with lighting and trajectory characteristics not matching known objects. Despite discrepancies between different accounts, the official analysis leaned toward a conventional explanation, though doubts were not entirely dismissed.
