Summary

In April 1966, a witness in Enid, Oklahoma, described a bright spherical object resembling a light bulb that crossed the sky from east to west. The object was about 4 feet in diameter and 6 feet long, but it did not illuminate the surrounding area. Although the sighting lasted less than a minute, the investigator concluded it was a meteor. Several other people in the area also reported seeing a meteor at the same time and location, supporting the conventional explanation.

The official report notes that the observer was not wearing glasses and that their perception could have been affected by stepping out of a lit house into the darkness. This suggests a possible optical illusion or depth perception error. Despite the detailed description, no physical evidence of the event was found.
