In April 1966, two witnesses in Brunswick, Maine, observed a bright white object moving in a straight line. The object appeared 30 degrees above the horizon and disappeared after a few seconds behind the trees. Although initially considered a meteor, the detailed description and specific trajectory generated some curiosity. Meteorological data and witness accounts align, reinforcing the sighting's credibility.
A day later, three more witnesses reported seeing three objects in the sky. One moved rapidly northward, leaving a trail similar to a rocket, while the other two remained stationary. Analysts concluded the fixed objects were likely Jupiter and Sirius, and the moving one could have been an aircraft. However, the description of changing colors and the unusual trajectory of the moving object suggest it was not a conventional phenomenon.
