🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, a couple in Lima, Ohio, reported seeing glowing football-shaped objects moving from west to southwest. The witnesses described a bright red and orange light, something unlike any aircraft, meteor, or fireball they had ever seen. The Project 10073 report was incomplete, as the witnesses failed to return the requested form. Despite the lack of details, the case was filed as insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. The frequency of similar sightings in the area generated interest, but no physical evidence or photographs supported the observation.
The Air Force sent the witness a letter with forms to gather more information, but no further responses were received. The case remains one of many unresolved UFO sightings from the time, a reminder that even with eyewitness accounts, the lack of concrete data limits investigations.
